Gilgamesh has this great fear of death and begins to   twist around over it  finish be  quash. Also, when Gilgamesh visits Utnapishtim he begins talking about how hu whiles live and says,  up to now we  figure houses, make contr portrayals, brothers divide their inheritance, conflicts occur- as if human life lasted eternally (Mitchell, 458).

 Utnapishtim is contradicting what Gilgamesh first believed stating that life  willing not last  unceasingly even though humans tend to act the likes of it will. Utnapishtim leads Gilgamesh and the reader into the idea that it is foolish for y   ou to act as if death could be overcome whic!   h is the     Cabrera, 2  basis of life. With the continuation of Gilgameshs journey he finds death is unpredictable as well.  The  content begins to  fix more apparent with the idea that death will  continuously find you.
